YESTERDAY'S LOOK WITH TOMORROW'S MECHANICS

Once you see it, you won’t forget it because you will like everything about it: a great past, lines that combine classic and contemporary, an engine with zero emissions. E-chott is the new e-bike concept designed by Davide Carboniero’s Breganze Engineering and the designer Enrico Borghesan who, forty years after launching the famous Laverda Chott, redefines the original technical part with some technological innovations.

LIVE TWICE

The Laverda CHOTT was one of the first motard motorbikes and is neither a pure off-road or full street-use bike. They called it the “run-about” motorbike: its form, design and sound gave it a light, laid back city look and feel.

The look is inspired by the motorcycle model built in 1973 by Laverda. If it reminds you of something, you’re right!

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROJECT

Davide Carboniero

A staple diet of motorcycles, it is the essence of passion and expertise, a tribute to the traditional industrial fabric of the Vicenza area. Everything began with a childhood dream, with a new design of the Breganze SF750, based on the latest version of the legendary Laverda twin cylinder. Designed and presented as a concept bike at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan with the marque Breganze Motociclette Italiane, this motorcycle is considered by enthusiasts as the heir and living representative of the values of history and tradition of one of the legendary brands of Italian motorsports.
Breganze Engineering

Technological innovations and availability of materials are no guarantee that everyone is capable of developing a (project) true heir to the Laverda marque, at least that's what they have called me. For this new prototype, Enrico Borghesan, a friend and partner, was the starting point. Who better than him for restarting from 1973? This is how we redesigned an Italian myth.

Enrico Borghesan

With art in his veins, he has a great passion for beauty. When very young he began to work in close contact with art for extremely important companies but he then entered the seductive world of motorcycles where innovation and technology accompanied by a good measure of creativity and manual skills are part of a great Italian past. The memory of the unique sound of the Laverda large displacement bikes continues to accompany him in his design sketches, at work and in his leisure time. Family history is a common thread that links him to Laverda, the place where he was born.
Borghesan Enrico

The search for innovative projects that move with the times where he can make his mark requires a good measure of passion and study based on the historic roots of the marque. When Laverda closed down, its motorcycles continued to sell and it was then that he began to see not only well-built German ladies but also Italian women in the saddle. The new project is also dedicated to them thanks to their reduced dimensions and weight.

THE SILENT BUZZ OF GREEN ENGINES

At first sight, you can see how its historic background has marked the development of this model, the second generation of a myth.

From an aesthetic point of view, it follows the guidelines of the Vicenza-based marque, but the Breganze redefines its personality by bringing its design up to date and in line with legislation. However, those who want performance will not be disappointed.

SIZE MATTER

THE CITY WITHIN EVERYONE’S REACH. GREAT FOR NEW LICENCE HOLDERS. ON THE TARMAC, ROUND-ABOUT-TOWN, OFF-TRACK.

Especially suitable for medium distances, the e-CHOTT is the perfect motorcycle for everyday use and maintains its round-about-town nature. Simply modern in its clean lines and forms and stylistically faithful to the Breganze marque, the project focuses on lightness and handling without neglecting pure riding pleasure. A special companion.
